If the user picks up the handset, but does not hear the steady hum of a dial tone then try manually depressing the handset hang up. If the issue persists, do not put coins into the phone. Contact us so that we can troubleshoot the problem.

No Dial Tone

Poor Audio Quality

If the remote party’s audio is unclear it is possible that the poor call quality is due to their connection. But if the issue persists, please report the issue to our team so that we can resolve the issue.

If there are any obvious cracked or broken components, permanently depressed keypad keys, or missing/malfunctioning parts we can replace them. Chat with one of our support specialists today so that we can repair the issues.

Broken Component

When coins do not easily insert into the coin slot, there may be something blocking the mechanism. Do not insert any other objects into the slot and contact Interstate immediately so that we can send a repair specialist to resolve the blockage.

Coin Jam

If the caller dials a number, deposits coins and called party does not answer, the deposited coins should return. Keep in mind if an answering machine picks up, that is considered a completed call and coins will not be returned. If there appears to be a coin return issue, contact our support team and provide your location and the dialed number so that we can determine if the call was completed. If warranted, we can connect your call for you without coin deposit.
