Enterprise Phones

Let’s start with the obvious. Make sure that not only the phones themselves, but the PBX that your phone system is powered on. Lights are the easiest indicator of power, so if you have lights on all of the phone network devices, then power is probably not an issue.

Power

ITI’s Enterprise Phone networks (VoIP) run off the internet. If you’ve noticed that your internet is not working, then that may be the cause of your phone issues. Contact your internet service provider to see if they can tell you what is going on. We’ve created a page with common ISP contact information to help. Make sure you have your bill nearby so you can reference account information easily.

Internet

We all just need to be unplugged sometimes! Disconnect the power supply from the internet equipment. Some phones may be powered over the ethernet cable. Make sure that the cable is in the correct ethernet port based on where that cable goes. If you have problems with the whole phone system, be sure to power off the modem and any routers connected to it. If some phones are working, just remove the power from the phone that is not functioning. After about a minute restore power to the equipment. After you allow for time for the device(s) to boot up, check status and contact us if you’re still having trouble.

Power Cycle
